In v4 I have a detail form with tabs. When a user clicks on a tab I would like to save the current record displayed in the detail form.

I created a method named Ltg_CPApp_OnTabClick and named it as the method in the <ltg-tab> tag.

<ltg-tab link="tab11" title="Emails" method="Ltg_CPApp_OnTabClick"/>

Is that method supposed to execute when a user clicks on the tab? It doesn't. (I checked the "shared with components" box in the method properties.)

Thanks,
David

I figured out how to catch submitted values by tracing the Ltg when something was click on a form that would interact with the back-end.

In my tracing I was looking for a Button click, which had a value, that I used as the method call.

I don’t know for sure of the top of my head which Ltg event will trap a tab-click on the back-end.

Try tracing the Ltg method on the back end, and look for “hooks” that you can use.

I hth some….

Thanks, David. In the detail form method no code is executed when a user clicks on a tab, so I don't know how to trap the event. And onclick is not an attribute of the ltg-tab tag.

It seems like a “Submit” and Stay in the input form is what you need on your tab-click.

I don’t know how to make Ltg do a Submit and Stay.

Please ask Graham for advice….

Thanks!

The "onclick" attribute can be used with <ltg-tab>, and the method is intended to execute when clicked. So you can try;

onclick="ltgExecuteMethod('Ltg_CPApp_OnTabClick')"

If the method doesn't execute, do you at least get a request through in OWC?
