Hi Matt and everyone,
I’ve been using LightJams for a while and I love how flexible it is, but I’m struggling with one thing during programming:
Is there a simple way to switch between Scenes while editing?
Right now the only method I found is:
Add → Scene/Grid → Cancel → and then I can select a different Scene.
This is very slow and breaks the workflow, especially when I’m working with multiple Scenes and need to jump back and forth quickly.
So my question is:
Is there a shortcut, hotkey, or any quicker way to switch Scenes in the editor without going through the “New Scene/Grid → Cancel” dialog every time?
Or maybe there is a hidden panel or a navigation trick that I haven’t discovered yet?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike
Hi Mathieu,
thank you for the quick and detailed reply – the explanation about the View/Grids menu, the grid manager and the ctrl+number shortcuts is very helpful. This will make it much faster to jump between the different grids while programming a scene.
One follow-up question: is there also a recommended way or keyboard shortcut to quickly switch between groups/scenes within the same project? I often jump back and forth between scenes while building a show and would love to streamline that part of the workflow as well.
Thanks again for Lightjams and for your support, I’m using it to run a full rock band show and it’s an amazing tool.
