I was hoping if anyone had an example of led mapping within Lightjams?
I have a free-flowing string of Christmas lights that i have hung up and want to map them so I can run video effects through them. but don't manually want to position all diodes on the grid space.

Was wondering how I can create a CSV or DXF File that Lightjams can use to import and place the lights in place (If i can use Fusion360/CorelDraw or Illustrator to create these Files.

Also, if anyone has a script or workflow to trigger each diode and automatically map the position of the lights would be magical (using a camera as Source as the mapped position).

Thanks

I've just done something similar for a discontinuous 3d matrix consisting or different lengths of led droppers in Madrix (selected by the client before I could suggest the far superior LJLM).

I started with a csv file of the positions and lengths of the LED droppers and chatGPT wrote me some python code that spat out a csv file Madrix could understand with little fuss, I feel like it would probably be able to do the same for LJLM?

Lightjams led mapper supports importing directly your autocad dxf file: https://www.lightjams.com/ljlm/

It also has a vector based editor, which is way faster for mapping than putting one led at a time on a grid. So for complex mappings, I'd recommend you take a look at it. You can remotely control it with Lightjams if needed.
