When I use RGBW as a colour wheel parameter, i can't seem to control the white?
My Colours look pastelly as they have white turning on and spilling into the colours?

When I choose from a preset Macro colour (the run the macro and get the rich "RED" and etc.

Is there a setting or somethign I need to consider with RGBW setup?

Thanks

Hi,

If you use an RGBW attribute, the white channel is automatically controlled based on the level of white in the desired color. For example, with a hue of 0 and saturation of 100% and an intensity of 50%, you'll get the full red channel active only, without white. As soon as you lower the saturation under 100% or move the intensity higher than 50%, then white is added.

If you want to control the white channel, you need to use RGB attribute with a dimmable effect attribute for the white channel. You need to create a fixture template in this case.

That's how I've known it to work with (With RGB). But seemingly not with RGBW at this time.
I'll try fiddling with my fixture template to see what I work out.

For my quick fix I did create a RGB with a separate White channel (like you suggested). This did seem to work for show.
