Hi all,
I just bought myself an AKAI APC mini to control Lightjams from this handy thing.
(I still haven't completely figured out the best way to associate scenes and effects to all the knobs and faders but this is another story...)

So for the project file:
- It contains two grids: one for controlling the LEDs (Controller_LEDs) and one for placing the activation items etc. I already linked the master intensity to the fader number 9.
- The 8x8 matrix is organized vertically in my file. I.e within one column only one button can be active at one point in time
- So you have 8 separate columns where you can select different scenes for different groups of devices. (At least that was my idea...)
- I colored the columns of the 8x8 matrix differently, see below for the values in order to change the color of a row. You need to change the max value for the respective LEDs.
- The "scene launch" buttons to the right are the same, only one at a point in time. (I think they can only light green or flash green.)
- The round arrow/fader control buttons are configured differently:
- The first 4 buttons are in toggle mode (switching effects/groups/whatsoever on and off by pressing).
- The last 4 buttons and the shift button are in "flash mode", they are only activated as long as they are pressed. (I did not manage to get the shift button to light, sorry.)
- The buttons can only light or flash red
- The faders are associated with the sources in first line of the sequencer grid.

Notes/Limitations:
- The midi values of the matrix buttons increment by one from left to right and then from bottom to top. I was trying to create a cool formula to achieve the vertical structure but failed. So I ended up with the switch function with fixed values. So if you resize the height of the grid for any reason the values need to be adjusted. @Mathieu: If there is a more elegant way of achieving this I would be interested how to do so.
- The shift button does not have a light :-(
- The max value of the effects in the Controller_LEDs grid determine the color of the 8x8 matrix LEDs. The values are as follows
solid green 1 or > 6
flash green 1.50
solid amber 4.00
flash amber 5.00
solid red 2.50
flash red 3.00
- For the round scene launch (green) and arrow/fader control (red) buttons the values are:
1 or >3: solid
2: flash
- I have patched the effects to IDs W,X,Y,Z; if you want to import into an existing project and those IDs are occupied, you need to change them first.
- I am not sure if I have understood the midi modes and universes correctly but it works for me :-)
- I added a source into cell 10,3 sending a power value of Zero to all the buttons. Without this, the buttons are continuously lit once they are pressed. Not sure if this a workaround or a proper solution ;-)

The controller is available for less than €80,- here in Germany, for me it is well worth the money!

Hope someone can re-use this information. If so: Enjoy!

Best regards and all the best for the new year!!!

Markus

Markus, thanks for sharing! I'll look at the project file and let you know if I see something that can be improved.
