Hello,

I am trying to use a midi fader / button to change the colour palette of all hue attributes in a grid.

Currently to change the colour palette, I go into the grid, use select 'A', then select a colour palette. This works for me but other users cannot easily change the colour, a midi dial will help them shift between colour palettes without understanding the software and where to locate a grid and how to toggle between sources and attributes.

Ideally there would be a grid level attribute that is able to automatically select all hue attributes within the grid and change the colour palette based on a value from 1 - 10. This would mean having a number associated with each colour palette created.

Regards,
Anthony.

Another idea more ambitious for additional functionality is to be able to change a colour palette live.

For example, if colour palette#1 has 3 points which make up the 3 mixed colours of the palette. OSC / Midi dials could be associated to each of the 3 points. The dial would have a value 0 = red and 255 = the other end of colour wheel. Using the 3 dials you could live adjust the colour palette for a given grid. The palette would save itself after a few second and update across all grids.

Hi,

To select another color palette via midi, you can create one grid per color palette entry and then activate the grid you want via midi. It's the same principle as when you have a bank of effects and you activate one via a sequencer grid.

It's an interesting idea, even though the initial concept with the color palette was to manually enter static values and then being able to quickly edit your colors in one place.

Just wanted to say +1 to the suggestion of being able to create palettes "live" through a formula by defining a number of percentages.
I set my colors live using a knob for the hue and another for saturation with a preview on the midicontroller, and with a feature like this i could easily get a much more dynamic effect.
