Actually no midi devices are showing up on this PC (like loop midi), I had just upgraded windows to the latest version.
Anyone else had this issue?

Wow, it would be pretty bad. I'll update one computer tomorrow to confirm.

I had a similar issue a few months back when I updated Windows.

If it is the same problem you are facing, it has to do with Windows not recogizing more than 10 midi devices (that's why it is not affecting everyone).

I was able to fix the problem by following these instructions: (taken from https://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-computers/877230-remove-midi-drivers-pc.html)

Open regedit (run and type regedit)
Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Then Software > Microsoft > Windows NT > Current Version > Drivers32

Delete the midixx keys (see attached pic). There is probably a way to find out which are used and which are unused, but I just deleted them all.

Reboot, then you will have to reinstall the drivers for the midi devices you want to use and reboot again.

Hope it helps, it worked for me. I does involve editing the Registry, so use caution.

I rolled back the update and it's working now.

I have also discovered the APC20 disappeared from LJ if I use a RDP session.

Any reason for that?

Windows remote desktop is not working as most people expect.

Try teamviewer instead.

I've updated Windows to the 1903 version and at first, my APC40 mk2 was detected but not detecting any activity. I've powered it off and on again and now it's working fine.

I guess if the problem is driver related, this may vary for the various midi controllers out there.

I have got it going thru RDP..

You just have to set the Audio Playback to play on the remote PC and all MIDI/USB devices appear in LJ.
