trouble with LED bar fixture

I have a bunch of these PULSE LED Bar fixtures

that take 26 channels, 8 pixels of RGB and a master dimmer and master strobe.  

I have added the fixture to lightjams using the RGB function 8 times, and a dimmer channel and an effect which I renamed strobe.  This works, but the color is off.  

If I add the 8 RGB pixels individually, and then add a dummy fixture that I made that has a dimmer channel and strobe channel, it works great.  I just keep all the dimmer values at max, and use the strobe as normal.  

 

Not a huge deal but setting up an installation would be quicker if I could get the fixture setting working properly.  What's the best way to share what's going on here and get help?  Should I share a project file and a video?  I can make one later this week. 

Anyone else using fixtures like these?  Anyone read this group besides mathieu?

Hi Michael,

You should be able to create a fixture template to do the same thing you did when manually creating multiple fixtures. Add 8 RGB capabilities, then use a fixed attribute at 100% for the dimmer and another fixed attribute for the strobe (unless you really want to use the build-in strobe effect).

I did that and it doesn't work properly.  Not sure why.  I have tried re-creating the fixture twice now.  I definitely want to use the built-in strobe effect as well.

Post your project file with the fixture template along with a link to the user manual and I'll look at it.

When you says 'doesn't work properly', could you be more specific?

In you first post you mentioned color was off, were all the fixtures the same color but the wrong one, or they were not all the same color?

I made the fixture template with Mode4 (26ch) starting at channel 1. You will find it under 'Pulse' brand.
