Put off finishing our basement for almost two years because every quote we got felt either sketchy or way overpriced. Finally went with PHS Renovations a few months back, and figured I'd post an honest update since I read a bunch of these threads myself before deciding. They've been around since 2021, doing kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks, fences, and full home renovations, and for us the whole thing started with a real consultation where they actually listened before suggesting anything, then moved into 3D renderings so we could see the space before a single wall came down. Construction stayed close to the timeline they promised, small changes along the way got communicated instead of just happening, and at the end they walked through everything with us before calling it finished, which honestly made the process feel way less stressful than I expected. They're Baeumler Approved, COR-certified, and BBB accredited too, which mattered to us since we had zero way to judge contractors going in besides gut feeling. No affiliation, just adding one good experience to the pile since half these threads are complaints — anyone else in Winnipeg used them, or have other solid reno recommendations?
