I have used Blender Plugins to generate sub-aperture lightfield images such as:

I am however trying to generate raw lightfield image (with micro lens array). I have tried this plugin:

https://github.com/Arne-Petersen/Plenoptic-Simulation

but found it a bit complicated and I think you can only generate hexagonal lenses. However, I need square a bit larger micro-lenses (200x200).

I have also tried to use the first plugin to generate low resolution sub-aperture images and then use a code to reverse them back to raw image but as the number of images would be large (40k images) the rendering was extremely slow.
