Founded in 2016 in Milan, MI, Lavender Lane's mission is to provide Southeast Michigan with organically grown lavender and quality lavender self-care products. In order to maintain high standards, and ensure quality + freshness, all of our self-care products are made on-site.
Our store's passion for producing the highest quality lavender products and our focus on providing our products at a great price keeps our commitment and motivation high. Lavender's soothing and uplifting fragrance, beautiful aesthetics, and endless uses makes it the perfect ingredient for our bath, beauty and home products.
Our lavender farm is over 3 acres big and we continue to expand our fields each year. Horticultural and Cosmetic Formulation found in our beauty products is handled by me, Joe, while my wife Courtney handles the logistics of our annual "Lavender Harvest Festival". We are a small family owned lavender farm in Northeast Indiana near Rome City. We began our lavender farm in 2008 to better steward the land resources God blessed us with. We wanted to create a venture that would lead to an active retirement and share our land with others. We offer entertaining educational tours for individuals and groups on growing and using lavender, creating pollinator habitats, and using ornamental grasses in your landscape. Hippie Festival held at a small lavender farm where the lavender will be in full bloom. Visitors can pay to pick a bundle of lavender while enjoying multiple bands and DJ playing 60 and 70s music. A Wide variety of entertainment, craft, merchandise and food vendors Will be available. Vendors and entertainment includes and is not limited to: Jugglers, Stilt "sky" walkers, dancers, flowers crown making, bubble artists, glass blowing artist, tie dye merchandise, Magic Train ride, variety of farm animals to feed and pet. Tickets sold for one and two day passes. Tickets sales are non-refundable all sales final. Tickets sold on a first come first serve bases. Festival will be held rain or shine. Dress in your Hippiest to win a prize! Festival is June 25-26, 2022 12pm-9pm. Both days. Kids 12 and under are free.

The farm will also host its first Hippie Festival from noon to 9 p.m. June 25 and June 26. The event will include 60s themed contests, 100 arts and craft vendors, stilt walkers, jugglers, a DJ, lavender flower crown-making and live music.

The 17th annual Michigan Lavender Festival -- now called the Original Michigan Lavender Festival -- kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday at a new location this year, the Eastern Michigan Fairgrounds in Imlay City. It'll include workshops, seminars, artisans, music and more.
Its previous location, Blake's Orchard in Armada, meanwhile, will be hosting its own festival, Blake's Lavender Festival, Friday through Saturday. And in Milan, near Ann Arbor, Lavender Lane is hosting its 2019 Lavender Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Executive Director Jennifer Vasich of the Michigan Lavender Festival said she decided to move her festival to a different venue this year to give it even more room to grow and spread out. This year, free shuttle rides will be offered from the fairgrounds to a nearby 23-acre lavender farm, Indigo Lavender Farms, through the festival weekend so patrons can pick their own lavender.
Blake's Lavender Festival, meanwhile, is a first-time festival in southeast Michigan, though it's at a familiar venue given that Blake's previously hosted Vasich's Lavender Festival. It'll include free classes and demonstrations; lavender-themed DIY make and take workshops; and lavender infused foods and drinks. There will even be lavender field yoga and aroma meditation.
The 2019 Lavender Harvest Festival, meanwhile, also will include lavender-inspired food and drinks, a petting zoo, and more than 70 artisans and food vendors. There will also be seminars, including how to cook with lavender and how to grow your own.
There's a reason people are drawn to lavender. According to Vasich, it's one of the most widely used, versatile herbs today. It's mostly commonly used for anxiety, depression, insomnia and headaches, but can also be used for exhaustion, sprains, sunburn and burns.
