Hey dear L&I people, 

I just saw some photos that Ellen posted to FB. Completely beautiful. The photos brought to mind some thank-yous. 

I'd like to put out a thanks to Benny & Ellen for making the group so warm and inviting for all of us. And to Cam and Scott for kicking butt. 

We had such a great crew with many new folks who were totally amazing.

Not to mention - the LED screens were tops. And huge thanks to David E. for the Kaleidoscope that bent my brain. And Jeremy's perspective pieces are always cool, of course. 

And - ya gotta admit - the music this year was spell binding. So many of you guys lit up our souls. 

And... Thanks, Humberto, and all you for getting us off the play on Sunday. Woe. I really don't like the last day of bman. So thanks to you guys for getting all the trucks loaded. 

And to daMongolian for cleaning up all my kids' sunflower seeds.

And thanks to all you guys who love life and who love the social vibe that is burning man.

Absolutely, I had a wonderful wonderful time.

A retrospective on what went well, what didn't go so well, and what to do next time would be pretty constructive, I think.

I'll start:

What went well:

Shared water was very useful.

Couches were comfy.

Group dinners were lovely.

100 gallons of extra water was awesome.

What didn't go so well:

Gray water collection.  I need to think of a better solution.

What to do next time:

Organize more stuff?  Maybe some people would like to volunteer dinner?  Ice runs?

Maybe a new thread for this, maybe too soon, people are still adjusting to this default life. =P

I'd also like to say thanks to everyone: my first trip to Burning Man in 18 years was wonderful and amazing and I directly credit L&I and the totally awesome people in our camp for these profound experiences.

Hi All,
Thank you so much for an amazing time on the playa!  What a beautiful camp we had.  We were moved by each and all of you. 
Amazing kids, amazing parents.  The best shower set up ever.  A beautiful experience in every way and hard to put into words.
We're sorry to miss you all at the dinner.  We have a busy next few weeks with lots of travel. 
Please come and visit us in Shasta.  We have lots of room for camping, and we know some really cool hiking spots.
