"Seven" is a song by South Korean singer Jungkook of BTS featuring American rapper Latto, released as a single on July 14, 2023, through Big Hit Music. It was produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut who co-wrote it with Jon Bellion, Latto, and Theron Makiel Thomas. The song is a romantic UK garage pop track about wanting to spend all of one's time with one's lover. An explicit version was also released, and later included on Jungkook's debut studio album Golden.[1]

"Seven" debuted at number three on the UK Singles Chart and set a new record as the highest debuting single by a solo Korean act in history. Elsewhere, it charted in the top ten in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Peru, Paraguay, New Zealand, South Korea, and Switzerland. It also broke the record for the fastest song in history to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, and eventually became the most-streamed collaboration of 2023 on the platform.[2][3]

On June 29, 2023, Big Hit Music announced via Weverse that Jungkook's single "Seven" would be released on July 14, 2023. [5] Prior to the digital single's release, "Still with You" and "My You" were made available on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music on July 3, 2023. Both songs were previously only available on SoundCloud or YouTube.[6] On July 7, concept photos and a short film were released. This was followed by the official music video teaser on July 13.[7]

Writing for NME, Rhian Daly gave "Seven" a four star rating out of five, praising Jungkook's "polished mid-register and honeyed falsetto" and opining that the song "set the bar high for his solo era".[12]

An accompanying music video, directed by Bradley & Pablo,[62] was released alongside the song and features South Korean actress Han So-hee as Jungkook's girlfriend. Chronicling an entire week (in reference to the song's lyrics), the video depicts Jungkook comedically attempting to win back Han's affection, often to her annoyance.

Jungkook performed "Seven" live for the first time on the day of its release, along with "Euphoria" and "Dynamite", in Central Park as part of Good Morning America's Summer Concert series.[67] He appeared on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge segment on July 20 and performed the song in studio together with a cover of "Let There Be Love" by Oasis.[68] The follow day, he performed the single on The One Show, on an outdoor stage next to the Thames River in London.[69] Jungkook co-headlined the 2023 Global Citizen Festival on September 23 in New York City and performed "Seven" as part of his setlist, with Latto joining him onstage for the first time.[70]

It could be that the song is just a nonsensical string of sounds. However, although I cannot say for certain in one way or another, I actually believe that this is not the case. This type of festive chants are fairly typical of Japanese culture, or so I have observed, and to the best of my knowledge there usually is some kind of lyrical content in there. And another occurrence of this type of chanting is in The Lower Depths, where the songs definitely have lyrics to them.

Hey! 4 years late but I can answer your question. A friend of mine who is in love with the movie like we all are, took a great deal of time and research and found a way and got the last song sung by the farmers interpreted. A portion(Apologies!) of the lyrics of that great song are:

BTS singer Jung Kook is experiencing a triumphant moment in his solo career, as his new song "Seven" claims the title of the biggest song in the world. Despite having released music outside of BTS before, the star's latest single is being marketed as his official debut on his own, and fans from all corners of the globe are eager to support him as he embarks on this exciting journey.

This news comes shortly after Jungkook released the remixed versions of his two singles - Seven (feat. Latto) and 3D (feat. Jack Harlow). The South Korean singer joined hands with David Guetta and MK for the new versions which were released earlier today. The tracklist for GOLDEN consists of 11 songs including the two previously released singles-

Perhaps it is not coincidental that the first musical utterances of the composer best remembered for the operas Wozzeck and Lulu were art songs or, more precisely, German Lied, that 19th-century vehicle of all manner of human expression from poetic-philosophical musings to highly dramatic displays of psychological states and varying emotions. In fact, between 1901 and 1908 Alban Berg composed approximately 150 songs and ensembles for voices with piano accompaniment. In hindsight, we can speculate that for the young Berg, the fusion of words with melody represented a kind of marriage of the two great loves of his adolescence, literature and music. For up to 1904, he had not fully committed himself to either art form. Song, then, allowed him the latitude to play at being an artist without direction, a kind of musical poetaster with no prospects. His artistic free fall would end in October 1904 when he became a student of Arnold Schoenberg.

"[GNR] was sort of just work for hire. [...] I met with Axl and he played me these songs, asked me my ideas about them, and I told him what I thought they needed. They gave me four songs to orchestrate. [...] A song called 'Seven,' which is the one [...] I actually wrote a guitar part [on]. There was one called 'Thyme,' one called 'The General,' one called 'Leave Me Alone.'" (Marco Beltrami, IGN, 07/20/03)

"Leave Me Alone," "Seven," and "The General" could also feature on the new album. These three A-listed songs were worked on by Marco Beltrami, especially "Seven," which Marco deems as the best of the three songs. It has also been reported that Marco worked on a fourth track, "Thyme." However, this song was not worked on subsequent to Marco's work in October 2002. (Jeff Leeds, Sp1at website, 06/05)

A poll at the Ravens' website of the five songs above gave us the 2003 White Stripes single as the pump-up song (though the fans from the comments show the vote was far from unanimous). The song has had a resurgence as a stadium anthem, first in Europe at soccer stadiums (The Italian soccer team adopted it as an unofficial theme, especially during the 2006 World Cup. Deadspin.com has a story how the song became their anthem). Colleges like Penn State also embraced the song early on.

Originally, the Ravens said they would only play the song between the third and fourth quarters of a close game. Obviously, that didn't hold true for long; the song is usually played multiple times throughout each home game & heard loudly at playoff games & the Super Bowl when Ravens fans would spontaneously chant it:

I'm on Team No. 1. Despite a lifelong aversion to group sports and mandated fun, from age 12 to 17, I spent a month each summer deep in the Adirondacks, hiking, canoeing and singing songs. We swam naked in mountain streams and drank cold, clean water from them. It rained a lot, the mosquitoes ate us alive, and the food was awful, but I was as happy as I've ever been at Hawkeye Trail Camps, on the west shore of Silver Lake. I liked meeting kids from other parts of the country and being guided by college-age counselors who were compassionate and cool.

This time, though, I'd only stay for a few hours. No one at the party would run down the hill to jump in the lake or square-dance under the stars. Linda was there. After the traditional "Happy Birthday" song, I nudged her to start up some of the alternative tunes that we used to serenade those with the good fortune of turning a year older at camp.

Totally loved this and definitely request more! I did have to find the song and play it on my phone while I followed you via computer. I could hear you great but could barely hear the song in your video. Thank you for choreographing these!

It's likely that when Arthur J. Marsh, a Wellesley music teacher, set out to compose what he hoped would become Massachusetts' state song in the mid-1950s, he had no idea that he was starting a trend.

Gomulka wrote and recorded the song with his band The Chicago Push for their 1987 album Home is Where the Heart Is. Upon its release, a local DJ at WMUA, the University of Massachusetts Amherst radio station, suggested they make a push for it to become a state song.

Absent in the stable of state songs are any examples from a number of musical styles with storied histories here, including genres dominated by artists of color. Many foundational jazz legends, including saxophonist Johnny Hodges of Cambridge and drummer Roy Haynes of Boston, are Massachusetts-born.

As for whether Price had a specific nominee in mind for an additional state song that might strike a more inclusive note, he went a step further, suggesting that Massachusetts do something truly unique: become the first in the nation to adopt an official state playlist.

Reflecting on the song's immense popularity in world football over, White Stripes vocalist and guitarist Jack White said: "I am honored that the Italians have adopted this song as their own. Nothing is more beautiful in music than when people embrace a melody and allow it to enter the pantheon of folk music."

Also called Seven Psalms, Simon's new album is out May 19, and it's a stunner. A 33-minute, all-acoustic, seven-song cycle meant to be listened to as one contiguous whole, it's one of the most intimate works the 16-time GRAMMY winner has ever crafted. That's saying something, given he put himself on the map with the pindrop "The Sound of Silence" nearly 60 years ago.

But Simon isn't evangelical on the album; far be it from him to take a myopic view of anything in song. "Slip" and "slide" are the operative words here; Simon goes on to cast God as "the Covid virus," "the ocean rising," "a terrible, swift sword," "a puff of smoke" and "my personal joke."
