So after the last week's hotfix I noticed my game acting weird, steam overlay wont launch and I had issues as fps drop and screen tearing. I didnt noticed it was because the hotfix enabled directx 10 and 11 on machines that suported them until now, and after disabling it my issues were gone, but now there's a significant ddrop in quality (not really but its there) So is there something my system might be messing up?
2. when the game is not running, try going to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Warframe and deleting all the funny named folders (like F36423HGJYG5434000 ) and any .cfg files. Please note, this will delete your key bindings and all the other in-game settings but not any game progress.
changing my game to 32 bits helped bring back the steam overlay but i still have the issue with the screen tearing with directx10 and 11 enabled, maybe its a problem on my end so i hve no idea what to do to fiz that. the screen tearing stops with vsycn enabled so there's that.
For me to get F2 to work I had to install the Restoration patch on the original F2 install to make it win98 compatible, and on a clean w98 install with drivers, I installed directx 9c I think it was 9c ?.
Yeah "Free access" is fantastic, itook advantage of it to unlock and maximize sniper "Intervention", a few hours (4) on "Shipment" i took it to the maximum, very funny, on warzone it would have taken me two weeks, the same for the Taq and other weapons (play game on another nvidia pc).
Aah finally, a new DirectX. It's funny how most game developers skipped DX10 really. Face it, if there are not enough changes over DX9 then why should software houses invest in a new code path and thus spend extra money on development? This literally was a problem with DX generation 10. Next to that add the stupendous limitation from Microsoft to limit DX10 to Windows Vista only. Probably the most horrendous call Microsoft ever made for an operating system.
the same thing happened to me and its not PMDG its your computer. all you have to do is go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\directx\ and delete everything in that file. then try again.that worked for me. i have a win 7 64.
This is funny: I followed your advice and I got your very same problem! The same executable shadowman.exe works when run by DxWnd and crashes when run by Steam.
