Hi guys,

I'm thrilled to announce that I've finally gotten Lifty 1.7 to work with the SBT 0.11.x series. The installation instructions
are here: https://github.com/Lifty/lifty#readme . Please try it out and give me any feedback you might have :)

To people unfamiliar with lifty:

Lifty is a SBT plugin that makes it extemely easy to get started and be productive when using Lift. It can create entire
projects or small templates/snippets/models/etc depending on your need.

To people familiar with Lifty but not what's been cooking in the 1.7 branch:

The nice thing about Lifty 1.7 is that templates are now stored online together with a description file (in json). This means that templates, arguments (and their default values) can be updated easily. This should make it a lot easier for the community to help maintain lifty :)

I hope you'll enjoy it,

Short warning for other adventurous people:

Jakub might have found a bug that requires that you manually create a ~/.lifty folder

Will check the code and get a fix in soon.

I've fixed it in 1.7.1. I will publish I later if I get no more bug reports :)

I'm getting a NullPointerException when I try to run "lifty learn lift ...". I just created a directory and ran sbt on it (I configured the plugin in .sbt/plugins). Any clues? It seems to fail on org.lifty.engine.Lifty (line 54) which creates the URL. I downloaded the .json to my machine and changed the url to localhost, but it's still failing.

Hi Ricardo,

I've found and fixed the bug :) I'll publish a new version (1.7.1) later tonight. Till then you should be able to work around it by
creating the following folder manually: ~/.lifty

Just published lifty 1.7.1

It fixes a bug where it would throw a null pointer exception because I didn't make
sure that the folder ~/.lifty would be created if it didn't exist.

Thanks for the feedback guys,
Mads Hartmann
