Have you considered using Scala Steward to automate dependency updates?

I am supportive of this as well! I’m going to be heads down for the next week plus but could probably find some time for review. 

I think let’s target main for this to start and see what updates it wants to make. I’d be happy to organize another 3.x series if there are non breaking updates we could push.

Hey, sorry for the radio silence, complete PEBKAC from me. 

I am starting to play now, Im working from the ReadMe out, scream if I should be looking else where.

I thought I replied, but obviously it got lost.

I've forked the repo and run Scala Steward against the fork so as not to polute the actual repository.

https://github.com/jonoabroad/framework, with the example PRs https://github.com/jonoabroad/framework/pulls

If this looks useful, I can create a PR with Scala Steward to add the framework repository to the list of projects it monitors.
