Trying to start run sbt 0.7 with the Lift In Action book files (which used to work fine), I now get a series of messages like these:

[error] Server access Error: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target url=https://oss.sonatype.org/content/groups/public/hoffrocket/sbt-yui/0.2/sbt-yui-0.2.pom

Hey Dave,

I think this might be something local to you, as its working fine for me and downloading the plugin JARs exactly as it should.

Can you just check you dont have anything wacky at ~/.ivy2/cache/hoffrocket/sbt-yui ? It might be worth deleting that folder anyways to see if it downloads it.

Alternatively google says this issue can be caused by having multiple JDKs installed; so perhaps you have some clash on your machine? I'm running standard OSX JDK6 and it works great.

Thanks, Tim

Tim, thanks for your time exploring this. I started down this path of adding the missing certificate, and then I realized I had a Java Update (10.6 Update 5) waiting for me. I installed that, and I no longer have the problem.
