Hello everyone,

I would like to use Lift 2.0 for my Google Summer of Code project
Collaborative Scaladoc. Because I only have experience with Lift 1.0 and I
know there are many changes in 2.0, I would like to ask whether there is any
comprehensive guide summarizing and describing these new features?

Thank you,

Petr Hosek

There's no comprehensive guide.  But the basics are:
  • Much better developer experience with much better errors/warnings/development-time browser-side flagging of problems
  • Much better REST interfaces
  • Wizard (multi-screen inputs)
  • Lots of new persistence mechanisms (MongoDB, CouchDB, LDAP, etc.)
  • Much better JSON support
What kinds of things would you like to see that are not part of Lift 1.0?

Thanks,

David

Thank you,

Basically it is fully compatible so all you have learned you can take
with you to 2.0. Changes arrive all the time it is hard to track them
all.
