Hello my amazing LIFTER's!

In light of this week being volunteer appreciation and the fact that a lot of you are wrapping up your semester with LIFT, I wanted to thank you all for your service to LIFT. When I first moved to Philadelphia, I was surprised to discover that community near 60th street had a sense of pride and interconnectedness that was strangely similar to that of my small hometown. This fierce sense of community was not something I expected to encounter in such a large city. You all inspire me with the great work that you are doing for this great West Philadelphia community. Though I am sad to be leaving this community, I know that it will be left in great hands.

It has been a pleasure to watch you all grow in client service and truly embrace this community. As we have told you before, it is only through your hard work and dedication that LIFT is able to assist our clients. We know that it is sometimes difficult to find three consecutive hours (and often more) in your extremely busy schedules but we, as well as our clients, appreciate the commitment.  I find the passion that each of you posses to be phenomenal.  I have been truly blessed to be a part of this LIFT family and I will miss you guys next year--- Keep up the great work.

AND if any of you are every in the Chapel Hill area, look me up :-)

I hope you have a great summer (your time is coming Drexel friends!) and I hope you continue with the wonderful work you have ALL been doing. You guys are the best LIFT volunteers ever-- we won't tell the other offices.

I promise to never get this sappy on you guys again.

AND hope to see you all at the picnic (April 30th 12-2pm Hill Field).

Best,

Jordan Gulley
