I used to be able to edit songs using NCH WavePad, import them to iTunes and then sync to the iPhone. Now, they will only play in iTunes, but, not on the iPhone. I don't know if this is an iTune error, a sync problem, an iPhone app or a wavePad issue. Any suggestions?

1. I'm trying to sync my track to a slideshow and am having a difficult time trying to insert and/or move songs in my track exactly where I wanted them. I have four songs in my track, and I wanted to put Song 3 to begin at 15:08. I tried using the Edit: Set Specified Time option, but either it doesn't work, or I'm not using it right because it doesn't move, and I don't get any kind of an error message. I tried highlighting that particular song and using that command, entering the exact time I wanted it to start & end, and it doesn't do anything.

3. If I have more than one song in a track, do I cut a portion of ONE song, instead of the rest of the whole track if I want to edit a portion of one song in the track? I edited one song by itself in Wavepad and pasted it into my project with the other three songs. But when I inserted it and then inserted a portion of silence between songs 2 and 3, the last few seconds of Song 2 ended up right at the beginning of Song 3. I can't seem to just be able to cut that portion off and/or paste it back where it belongs without cutting all the other songs off the track.

Hello.....I like to edit songs or soundbites from large podcasts, so I TRIM the beginning and end of my podcast, leaving only the selected file then Save File As and place it in it's chosen folder. In the past, after doing this, I would simply click on the UNDO button a couple of times then I'm back to my full podcast to choose another file to save. I purchased the latest edition of WavePad Sound Editor and I can no longer use the UNDO button after saving, it is dark. Can anyone help with this ? The UNDO button is active right up to the moment I SAVE my file. Thanks.

One work around is to Save your edits as a separate file instead of overwriting the original. That way, you can always go back as needed. You could name your files as 'Edit1', 'Normalize1', Cut1', or something like that.

Before I do my trim or edit I just make a duplicate, then after I edit and save my new file the original still exists and my cursor is still on the edit point. A few extra steps, but at least it works!

That's an interesting question. I'm sure some of the experts on this forum will have some good advice for you. In the meantime, you might want to try using the Undo History feature in WavePad Sound Editor. It's a great way to track and review changes that you've made, and it should help you with the issue you're experiencing.

Wavepad is an easy to use sound recording and editing tool. I like the auto save capability, you do need to be worried when the laptop goes off in the middle of the recording. The sample rate capability is very great, you can actually convert to even a lesser bit so that you save storage. Wavepad also has available plugins from their market and they are cheaper. As a novice in 2013 I was very happy when I realize I could easily cut one old sermon and paste in another sermon. We actually used it to mix some few songs for Chorography

I am glad I came across WavePad. It works well alongside or rather in integration with VideoPad. Working with WavePad for audio editing such as cutting and splitting is very easy. The split tool is one of my favorite. The split at silences is very handy when I don't have time to split interview files into small audio files that still are sensible and don't have to over listen to the entire long file. It is easier to edit from here later. This has been a time saver for me.

Other times as need arise I just want to create an enhanced audio file MONO. The split into component channels is magical. I am able to quickly separate a stereo audio into L/R channels and use either or use both for an enhancement mono audio. Very effective!
