Hello, I am trying to design an instrument to collect social network data, and need some help with the layout of my questions.

I ask all respondents to give me the names of their 5 friends. Let's call them variable F1, F2 , F3 F4, F5.

In question 2, I then ask a series of questions about each person, beginning with F1 through F5. Currently, I have set up my layout so I have a page for all questions per friend named.

I want to display the information in one table, with F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 in the rows, and the questions, say age, gender, etc in the columns. In this case, the respondent can enter the data in one table, instead flipping page to page.

Is this feasible in Redcap?

I would very gladly appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Oy

Hi,

I don't think so. The only table-based structure I know in REDCap is the matrix. And it doesn't allow what you want to do.

Hello Oy,

We are trying to do the same thing. Did you ever find a good response to your question?
