Dearest Darling friends,

To begin with, we have received an unprecedented number of responses for the last article on Shivaji. Thanks. You can see all the comments on our website www.lifeschool.co.in and on my Facebook wall.

milestonei_photoSecondly, there was an error in the last article. Shivaji did not kill Shaista Khan as mentioned in the article. He had cut the fingers of Shaista Khan. Many thanks to Swapnil Shaha for gracefully pointing out the mistake. We regret the error.

Except for the above, this month has been a very very exciting month for us. There has been a string of achievements. We have never ever achieved so much in such little time. The scope of some achievements make them milestones in my life. When we discover for the first time, something we are capable of, it is a milestone. It is never against someone. It is always about doing things we have never done before with a sense of 'class' and 'finesse' better than our own estimates. Milestones are something that fills us with pride and gives us energy and excitement to do more.

On a lighter side, what is written on the milestones on the highways are distance in 'Kilometers'. Yet, for some funny reason they are called 'milestones'.

We in Life School and at home decided the year 2011 should not pass off as just another year. Achievements should not be as rare as a rainbow in desert skies. They should be as frequent as the blossoming roses in a rose garden. We decided we should fill the year with milestones and make 2011 as a milestone year. The dates chosen were April 1st 2011 to March 31st 2012. The target - '100 milestones'.

365 days - 100 milestones.

Each milestone should lead to something greater and exciting. The milestones should not be the end of the journey. It should be pointers we are in the right direction !

Since more than two weeks have passed since we took that decision, I sat down to write the milestones we had crossed. I was fantastically surprised. Besides the number of milestones, what excited me was the range of roles and variety of achievements.

On April 1st, we completed an exceptional program titled 'Business Excellence' flawlessly. As a professional I crossed a milestone. I have always excelled in training. This program was the best I had ever done.

On April 3rd, we completed Life School's sports convention with a nail biting finish. It was the best and the toughest sports convention (we have had 4 of them till now). Though led by me, I believe that was a milestone for the entire fraternity of Life School. As a leader I crossed a milestone.

On April 3rd, we released the first ever book written by me, "KEEP MOVING". It has received rave reviews. You can read them on our website. I have written enough articles in the past few years. However, this is the first ever book. As a writer I crossed a milestone.

On April 11th, we started the first ever Batch of Life School with a brand new, simple, deep, yet very powerful course titled 'Lets Explore'. The impact is visible in the first week itself. As a new organisation, we crossed a milestone.

On April 13th, our daughter scored 90% plus, for the first time ever. She is a darling. However, this was her first ever academic excellence. As parents, me and my amazing wife Bharathi crossed a milestone.

On 15th April, the website of Life School had its first ever audio podcast loaded. As explorers in cyber space, we have crossed a milestone.

As I wrote this list, there were a few small achievements too. But, I would not call them milestones. So I cancelled them off the list. The list without them still looked impressive to me.

A simple decision ---) 365 days - 100 milestones. This simple decision has given a new source of energy to the entire family and the organisation.

Will 2011-2012 pass off as yet another year in your life? What are the milestones you want to cover? In how many aspects of life do you want to cross milestones? Most importantly - How many milestones?

For me, 100 milestones has changed the way I look at 'everyday'. When I go to sleep, when I wake up, when I am awake, I am all the time searching ways by which I can cross milestones. I am becoming more adventurous and ambitious. I want to 'do more' and 'be more'.

I wish you, my darling readers, the same.

With love, prayers and best wishes,

naren
