POSITION: Senior Software Engineer
JOB DUTIES: Implement new product features using C++ and SQL in an Apache/Linux environment. Enhance and maintain existing product capabilities. Create detailed technical design documents and participate design reviews. Play an active role in implementing and providing feedback on new processes. Provide technical guidance, assistance to other software engineers. Adhere to release/project schedule and milestones. Work in a team in environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the Job Offered or five (5) years of experience in software engineering or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and eight (8) years of progressive experience in the Job Offered or eight (8) years of progressive experience in software engineering. Master’s degree is preferred as this is a Senior software position. Experience with C++, SQL & Linux is a must.
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience must include the following: developing secure transactional software products; C++; SQL; Oracle RDBMS; QA Automation processes and tools; ClearCase and ClearQuest; database performance; HTML, XML, Java, UML & Objected Oriented Programming/Designing (OOP-D). This experience may be gained through academic coursework and/or work experience. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Service oriented architecture (SOA) is highly desirable as client is moving in that direction. Experience of working in globally distributed team environment is welcome.
