I recently discovered the existence of SweetCron, and subsequently
Lifepress and I'm curious to know what I can do to help. I have
extensive experience with web design (its my job), PHP, MySQL,
JavaScript, and Apache. I'm particularly interested in this project
because its based on CodeIgniter, my absolute favorite PHP framework!

I've got some ideas and I was hoping that I'd be able to contribute.

Welcome Richard,
Check out the developer documentation over at:
http://code.google.com/p/lifepress/wiki/NewDeveloperReadMe
Great to hear you've got some ideas for Lifepress, do a quick search
of this (and the sweetcron) discussion board and see if it's been
talked about before. Then add it to the 'issues' section as either a
'feature request' or 'defect'.

I'm looking to start contributing to Lifepress more as well. I love
CodeIgniter as well and just figured out how to use mercurial. Maybe
someone else can answer this but, I'm curious how we get an issue
assigned to us? So that we're not all working on the same issues.
Thanks.

That sounds great! As I'm currently the only "official" active
developer on the project and my time is eaten up by my other
activities, it would be great to have another developer on the
project.

You got the starting page already, and I want to add this
recommendations:

* Open http://code.google.com/p/lifepress/source/clones and start your
own clone
* Add your changes and give me a PULL request, I'll merge your code
into Lifepress after a (short) evaluation

I think adding a few more developers to the project will really help
making progress. Right now the only thing I can do is provide support
via the Group and maybe do some bugfixes/code reviews for contributed
things. So I'll be glad to have a fellow developer actively developing
Lifepress. :-)
