Greetings Esteemed members of the Lifeboat Crew!

I am seeking to share & discuss a developing project called STARSHIPYARD.SPACE
This social network will aim support the Ark-I project & the Orbital Shipyard that will build the Ark-I, II, III+ as well as support Space Habitat R&D across the entire Artemis Accords network - aiming to enable the average citizen or lifeboat contributor, to learn about & contribute toward the space development pipeline across 63 nations.

What is Starshipyard?
A social network that is meant to help develop the digital catalogue of technological knowledge & the inventory requirements necessary for Space Arks that can self-replicate. This task will require a vast amount of technological, industrial, biological and other types of Data - to achieve full biological & industrial self-sustainability, expansion capability, as well as biological-industrial replication capabilities.

The Ark-I, was not built with this purpose, but its Shipyard - should be!
IMO - the Ark-II & Ark-III should contain a shipyard and a much larger industrial capacity for replication. The Auxiliary Floating Drydock serves as a conceptual demonstration of the Mobile Dry Dock/Shipyard concept, which would be applied to the Ark-III on a larger scale, in space.

ARK-I: https://lifeboat.com/ex/arki
Ark-I has limitations for a population 1500! It has the capacity to land vehicles, but Ark-I does not have the industrial capacity to install a new shipyard that can relaunch a new Ark!
This presents an eventual problem for the Ark, if it encounters a material logistics related issue that requires the Ark to be reconstructed - or if they wish to rebuild Civilization and haven't the tools to do so!.

So, we must develop the Toolbox
The Starshipyard:

Ark-II & Ark-III could have much greater technological capacity - and in my view, they should possess the capacity of the Shipyard within the Starship, alike the Auxiliary Floating Drydock.
But it will not just need repair capacity, it will need a lot more than classic dry docks!
The Starship-yard Arcology will need to design more than just the Ark-I!
The Starship-yard Arcology will need to train many successive waves of crews.
And it will need to enable those crews to rebuild the Ark-III & Starshipyard!
The Academy & Resources serve as a means for newcomers to achieve this (eventually)!
The Academy & Resources will continue to be improved upon over time. They are powered by several books I authored on Arcologies, Permaculture, Seasteading, Shipyard-Arcologies, Space Philosophy, Space Governance and teach these subjects so far, with expanded topics being added regularly within the curriculum's goals.

Starship-yard Arcology (YARDSHIP) that can build a Fleet of Ark seeder vessels wherever it goes and would enable the customization of ships based upon the requirements atmospherically/gravitation wise - which could be modified on site using standardized blueprints that are adjusted to meet local demands.
These could install the industrial and biological needs of a colony on the planet or in orbit & aim to enable the long term capacity to build a new orbital shipyard that can build a Starship-yard Arcology (YARDSHIP) that can repeat the process indefinitely. Ark-III would aim to achieve self-replication capacity and I have called the Ark-III Colonial Seeder.

Why do we need a Digital Ark Network - that the world can contribute toward?
A decentralized push to develop this type framework will enable the rapid development of contributor systems and enable the creation of standards, so that one nation could focus on energy requirements, whilst another focuses on water & together they can contribute 2 technologies to a "Continuity of Civilization" project.
Across the 63 nations of the Artemis Accords & 32 members of NATO - civil and military technology development in this direction would encourage a global collaborative R&D that could stretch from citizen to nation-state. All hands that are available, have a chance to help row!

How can users participate/contribute?
ARCOLOGY + ARK PROJECTS
There are different listed REGIONS with Ark & Arcology PROJECTS that allow users to participate in - designing an Arcology for their local region or community, or contributing to existing regional development or offworld development - of Digital Twin Arcology models.

TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS
Users can contribute by building out engineering concept data & concept art into workable products over time, whether it be contributing technologies that would enable an Ark to operate self-sustainably, or a full scale Arcology that integrates many of the technologies made available as a baseline or by users who add their own into the system.

GAMES & ENTERTAINMENT
There are several integrating gamification features that enable users to earn CR (Cosmic Republic Credits) which enables a variety of game features. They can be earned through integrated minigames and provide an entertainment component with space themed games that simulate lunar rover operation, asteroid mining, and more! Mine for ore... earn some CR! Use your CR to buy parts for your Arcology or to buy Technology to install in your project - aiming to develop full insitu resource management for your Arcology project.

I am actively pursuing developing a business model & monetization strategy for this platform that I am developing & am aiming to incorporate it, in the near future, so that it can support Space Ark R&D. The social network is currently in an open beta-testing phase, and is subject to changes, but input from anyone interested in advancing the Ark-I+ or the Starshipyard - is appreciated & welcome!

Most High Regards,
Andrew Kuess

Very ambitious and impressive, Andrew! I am sharing it widely!

1. A complementary idea explored in my book Thus Spoke Arta is Anthrosporia—the concept that humanity is entering a new phase in which it becomes a conscious seed-bearer of life, culture, and intelligence beyond Earth.

Rather than focusing solely on technological survival, Anthrosporia emphasizes the ethical and spiritual dimensions of expansion: humanity as a participant in the unfolding cosmic order (Arta), carrying the evolutionary story of Earth into the wider universe.

In this view, future space habitats, arks, and planetary settlements are not merely engineering projects but expressions of a deeper civilizational mission to preserve, cultivate, and propagate life's creative potential across space and time.

2. I also suggest that you write an article about your platform and submit to this Open Call about the topic of Living of Space:

Best Regards,
Victor V. Motti
