Are there any sizable constituencies in the Lifeboat Foundation that recognize the benefit of contemplating strategies for human survival, yet. . . are apt to acknowledge the current alarmism about climate change, (previously global warming,) is so much more of an ideological agenda than a credible scientific hypothesis?

The climate has undergone considerable change and variation throughout the earth's history, and human history therein, long before we were the apex species on the planet. It's not to say we have not had discrete changes throughout the 20th and 21st centuries in terms of temperature fluctuations, but the significance of the alarmism surrounding "climate change" is much overwrought as are the many public policy responses to it.

I think the current fad of "climate" ideology is very much a distraction. Biotechnology Ethics and Artificial Intelligence Ethics are more meaningful concerns in my judgment.
