to Life Away From Life
Building of temples was a leading concern of the Indian people.
The 700s, 800s and 900s AD were a time of extraordinary building
activity marked by crucial developments in architecture and sculpture,
especially in the region once known as Gopaksetra. This region is now
part of the modern state of Madhya Pradesh, especially the districts
of Morena & Gwalior and a few others.
From the 6th century AD Morena and surrounding areas came to be
embellished with an increasing number of temples, palaces and rock cut
images. Temples were constructed in considerable numbers and enough of
these buildings have survived for us to construe a continuous
architectural history. This epigraphic information is particularly
important because no archival material from before the 12th century
has been preserved.
Life Away from Life plans an exclusive trip to Morena ( in Madhya
Pradesh ) for all aspiring-amateur photographers interested in
experimental Travel Photography.
Step into a time warp with Life Away From Life! - Morena, in the month
of October 2011.
So all interested individuals simply grab your cameras (professional
camera not required) and get the best opportunity to capture different
aspects of life in different forms and moods! We would travel into the
realms of life capturing moments that finally make a good photograph.
Let us explore more about photography through informal discussions and
practical experimentation during this unique workshop in Morena, MP.
