Alpha Test Version of LiFe Available

Hi everyone

Thanks for joining the group and agreeing to work with us on building this app called 'Linguistic Field Data Management and Analysis System [LiFe]'.!

We are happy to inform you that the Alpha Test version of the app is now available. You could access the app in two ways -

1. The Demo version hosted online at this link - http://20.124.225.196:5000/login. Since this is hosted on a slow server, it works slightly slow (and since its an absolutely unfunded project till now, we cannot really improve it) but it should still be ok for testing it out.

2. Download the code and set it up on your local system. The code and instructions are available here - https://github.com/kmi-linguistics/life. If you face any issues in installation, etc, please feel free to post on this group. Also if you are installing on a system other than Ubuntu and you needed to follow different / additional steps for installing it, please take a note of the steps that you performed - this will be helpful for later users. You may also directly open a pull request for editing the README file with this new info.

The repository also contains a TODO file, which lists the features that we are currently with - if you have other ideas, please feel free to opena pull request for TODO or share those with us on this group.

We have also prepared a short Demo Video to show the basic interface and how to use the app - its available at the following link and you may want to have a look

At this point we would request you to share with us all comments / feedback  complaints at this Google Group. And also feel free to download the code, have a look at it and modify it as requ.ired

Whenever we try to open the "Manage Access Code" in Karya Extension, we only get the Internal Server Error. Please fix the problem so that we can generate Access Code and start the work.
