Hey Loaners!
Forgive us, it's been a while since our last update.
No,
we have not forgotten our fans, nor have we disbanded or anything like
that. There has been a lot going on, though. First, Drew injured his
shoulder and is just now able to play through all of the songs in the
Life On Loan catalog without much pain. He is expected to make a full
recovery and should be back to 100% in about a month.
Second,
you'll have noticed by now that our show calendar is starkly empty -
we've made the decision to put the live gigs on hold for a little while
in order to focus on getting some music ready to record for our first
EP and we felt that gigging would get in the way of us having the music
where we want it to be. Our goal is to concentrate on creating some
solid music for a recording that we're exceedingly proud of and then
begin playing live shows once again after we have the EP down on tape
(or the digital equivalent thereof).
We're currently in the
process of meeting with potential producers and finding a studio that
we like in which to record the EP and we're spending all of our free
time practicing on the music and getting it ready with a projected
entry into the studio in October (if not sooner).
There's also
been a house purchase and some moving to happen at the end of the
month, which will inject more chaos into the Life On Loan space, so
that could move things around either way in the timeline.
All
that to say that we thank you for your continued support and just ask
that you bear with us and keep your eyes peeled for upcoming gigs and
also for the EP once it is ready. We hope to get back out in public
very soon with a fantastic disc of Life On Loan music that you can take
with you once the show is done. We'll be posting some pics from the
last show soon as well, so keep an eye out for that.
Once again, thank you, and we'll be seeing you very soon!
