Hi,
I think that most of you are involved in this article, but I share it also for the rest of the EV researchers:
In this article, we describe for the first time the moult of the species, and how it advances during the first years (very interesting).
We prove that the moult starts earlier in sedentary subpopulations and they moult more remiges than migratory subpopulations, and that the wintering subpopulation of Extremadura suffers the energetic trade-offs between moult and winter conditions.
Finally, we show that in this case, as well as in other large raptors, the symmetry index increases with age, and therefore, the rule that birds tend to keep the symmetry in the moult process is not valid for these species.
I hope you enjoy the article
Best regards,
Iñigo
