Ihave a Toyo ML 210 lathe, but only have the three jaw chuck for my lathe. I am looking to get a 4 jaw, and maybe a collet chuck for my machine, but it is near impossible to get the Toyo stuff. There is a korean company called Manix, that makes identical stuff to the Toyo stuff, but I have not been able to find a source for these parts either.

I read somewhere on a forum once, and only once, that the proxxon 230 stuff fits the Toyo ML 210 lathes. I am really interested in getting a 4 jaw for my lathe, even if it's going to cost well over 200USD. for a 3 inch chuck.

The chucks on the TOYO ML 210 are not threaded on, the register onto a cylindrical portion off the spindle, and then are fastened via either 3 or 4 m4 bolts, depending on if youre using the 3 jaw or 4 jaw, there is a hole pattern for both 3 or 4 bolts.

The proxxon lathes chucks are the same way, i think, but i don't know for sure.

It doenst seem possible to find a drawing of the proxxon chucks online to confirm this.

But reading this on the proxxon site, regarding the dividing attachment, which apparently fits the same chucks as the 230 lathe, they claim it's a taper

?! that the chuck will register on to?

If anyone could confirm if the register for the chuck is cylindrical in nature, and its diameter, this would be of huge help. Of it anyone knows that the chucks between the proxxon 230 and the Toyo ML 210 are truly compatible. Thank you very much!

My Toyo ML-1 measures 21.99mm. The Proxxon PD230E chucks fit it from what I have gathered. The ML-210 is the same as the ML-1 and the Proxxon as far as I know. About to buy the Proxxon three jaw and maybe the four Jaw for my ML-1 soon.

Good luck finding a 24030 Proxxon Chuck anywhere now. Even the 24028 three jaw seems to be unavailable now. Maybe with an adapter plate the 24036 can be made to fit. It's register is 40mm with I think a PCD of 34mm.

Also, I hadn't found the later thread, where you had given up on finding a 24030 and state that "Mounting register for the Proxxon Chuck is 40mm and PCD is 34mm. Toyo spindle is a register of 22mm and a PCD 0f 35mm."

The three jaw 24028 fits the Toyo very well so I am assuming the 24030 should have the correct register and PCD as well. I did get a 24036 but yet to work out how to adapt that, but it should not be too difficult. If you find more than one 24030 available let me know as I would prefer that over the 24036.
