Yes. The PlayStation Portal Remote Player can be enjoyed on your home Wi-Fi network or any broadband internet Wi-Fi connection with at least 5Mbps. While using your home Wi-Fi network allows you to have control over the quality of your gaming experience, it is not a requirement. For an enhanced play experience, it is recommended to have a high-speed connection of at least 15Mbps. However, if you choose to use public Wi-Fi, keep in mind that the quality of the internet connection may vary and could affect your gaming experience.

No. You do not need a PlayStation Plus membership to use the PlayStation Portal and PlayStation Remote Play. However, if you want to play a game that requires a PS Plus membership for multiplayer access, you will need an active membership to enjoy the multiplayer features of that game.

After scoring a goal he/she start wasting time from the 30th minute and there is no possibility to report this kind of gamers and EA doe not help to remove or report this kind of bad behaviors and unsporting behaviors.

Let's help eachother out, I'm on xbox, add my gamertag below, I've got a system cheating player I need to report on playstation but can't do it. I went 1-0 he paused 3 times made 1 sub each time wasted and then aload of lag kicked in.....definitely system cheating......Add:

In the latest episode of AVGN, the Nerd puts in a music CD into his PlayStation (which visually looks just like the classic one, so it's not the later "PSOne" model) and (probably with sarcasm) claims that it's "the best CD player ever".

What's displayed on his TV is not what I expected. Instead, the GUI looks completely different, with bright, "friendly" colors and shapes. Nothing whatsoever like what I remember so vividly. This both shocked and annoyed me. Now, a whole generation of kids who watches that video will forever think that's how the CD player GUI looked like in the PlayStation...

It doesn't seem like he made this up. It looks far too polished/professional to be some "two-second gag" just for the video. I assume that Sony did change the GUI after some time, but the fact remains that his PlayStation, as seen in the video underneath the TV, is the classic, "bulky", grey one. So apparently, they changed the GUI while they were still making the classic PlayStation model(s)? That's curious to me, if true.

Or is this a case where he shot the parts with the Nerd in his room and had other people help him with all the capturing of footage, to save time, and those people only had access to a "PSOne" which would feature this "childish" GUI instead of the far more "industrial" looking original GUI? It looks like it's his (modern) TV in the "Nerd room", though, so that seems unlikely in this case.

The menu on the SCPH-10x model series uses simple icons with text above them. On the other hand, the menu on the SCPH-1002, DTL-H3002 and SCPH-5502 models has a similar background, but with different icons and no text.

Look pretty standard for a CD player built into a game console, doesn't it? Now this is more like it. No other CD player in a game console has ever done this before. The CD Player on the PS one model has a new addition where the player can select from a list of presets that change the way the music sounds so as to emulate the specified environment with the PlayStation's built-in reverberation processor. Seeing as no other CD player at the time had a reverberation processor, this addition was considered to be mind-blowing.

The word about the original Sony PlayStation, model SCPH-1001 in the US, as a good or great CD player came from overseas. While the origin story is a bit shrouded in mystery, the best I can tell is word originated in Germany and traveled to the USA. Jonathan Halpern of Tone Imports, perhaps patient zero in America, and John DeVore of Devore Fidelity used one in their room at CES 2003 (or 2004). Even though Jon and John kept their PlayStation hidden away in a dresser drawer at CES, word spread like wildfire.

If you wish to report a player directly to the PlayStation5 enforcement team, or you are receiving forms of toxicity outside of Sea of Thieves such as through the PlayStation5 chat feature, please use the following methods:

Some players are encountering an Ashbeard error when trying to sign in to their Microsoft account on the PlayStation5 version of Sea of Thieves. Please run through the troubleshooting steps below to resolve:

REMEMBER! Be mindful that you are using the correct Microsoft account during the linking process, as if you accidentally link the wrong Microsoft account, we are unable to unlink this account.

If you have been recently playing on another platform, such as Xbox or Steam, please wait 10 minutes before launching the PlayStation5 version. This allows our back end services to clear your credentials so that you can log in successfully. Otherwise, please run through the rest of this article.

Press and hold the power button until your console beeps. The screen goes blank, the power indicator flashes white, and then turns off. Remove the power cable and leave the console for 20 minutes. Reconnect the power cable and press the power button to turn on the PlayStation5 console.

REMEMBER!Be mindful that you are using the correct Microsoft account during the linking process, as if you accidentally link the wrong Microsoft account, we are unable to unlink this account.

If you are shown any errors, blocked or blank results for the above tests, please reach out to your ISP as your network may be blocking the necessary connections required to play the game.

Clear local saved data from PlayStation console and relink your Xbox Live account:

***Important - Please ensure that you know the Xbox Live account login details used to link to your PlayStation ID before completing these steps

Some players have reported intermittent stuttering and performance issues since Easy Anti-Cheat was implemented into the game. This issue is happening specifically with PCs that use ASUS motherboards.

After attempting to link your Xbox Live account to your PSN ID, if you receive the Avacadobeard error preventing access into the game, please check that no restrictions have been placed onto either of those accounts preventing online access via the accounts privacy or family settings.

After confirming the above is correctly set for both your audio input / output devices, as well as your Xbox Live account privileges, any crew chat issues should now be resolved. If the issue persists:

As players need to access High Sea's to receive their closed beta rewards, if you do not own a subscription to PlayStationPlus, please use the the 'Raise a Support request' button at the bottom of this article for further assistance.

When searching for game sessions, players can specify whether they would like to perform cross-platform matchmaking and also those on console can specify if they would prefer to play with other console players using a controller.

As your Sea of Thieves account can now be used on multiple platforms, you may notice that some items will show on one platform while not another. This is due to certain items now being platform exclusive.

Any progress towards a trophy first made on Xbox, Windows, or Steam will not carry over to PlayStation5, therefore the requirements for said trophy need to be met from scratch on PlayStation5. This is due to how trophies are tracked on this platform.
