I recently bought a MacMini M2 Pro running Ventura 13.3.1. Both my bluetooth mouse, and my logitech mouse with separate USB dongle move choppy over the screen. It feels as if the CPU is too busy with other stuff, or the mouse "task" is not getting enough priority. Both mice work fine on my old iMac and MacBook. A wired mouse works fine.
I contacted Apple support, and oddly enough they created a ticket named "keyboard lag". When I pointed out it is about mouse lag, he said: yes, I understood you. So this indicates this is known problem that for some people also affects the keyboard. After spending several hours with Apple support (up to a complete reinstall of MacOS!) I am starting to lose my faith in them and get the feeling they are just keeping me busy and beat around the bush.
Googling this problem indeed finds many more people suffering from this. I read that the MacMini M2 worked fine with Ventura 13.1 for most users. The problems started with the upgrade to 13.2. That suggests it is not a hardware design problem with the MacMini M2, but only related to software.
I had the same issue with a radio dongle wireless Logitec mouse. Worked fine previously and suddenly started stuttering. Tried a different wireless mouse, same problem. I had my dongle in one of the USB A ports on the back of my mac mini m2 pro (tried both of them), no change, stutter remained.
I don't think it has anything to do with distance or interference. I tried hanging the hub with radio dongle in it all the way to the back under my desk (my mini basically stands next to my mouse on my desk) and it still doesn't stutter.
My issue actually was interference. I had my Performance MX plugged into a charge port on the power strip and the dropouts got worse as I moved the receiver further away. I moved the charge cord to the hub the receiver was in, and now it works great.
I was wondering, if I will be able to use a Logitech G Extreme 3D Pro Joystick, for my Xplane 11 (Steam Edition). As I want to confirm before purchasing any joystick or yoke. It has been quite difficult to shop for flight simulator accessories for a Mac.
Hello! I actually ended up using the Logitech (Saitek) G Flight Simulator Yoke/Throttle Quadrant. I see it as a good investment, as I have used it for 10 months now. I have done research that the Logitech G Extreme 3D Pro, should work on Mac, as I researched the same for my G Flight. They don't ever list it to be truly compatible, heck even logitech themselves in the gaming divisions.
Hi All,
Recently purchased the Logitech G Extreme 3D Pro joystick for use with 2021 M1 Pro Macbook Pro. After extensive testing I can confirm all the buttons and axis and systems work. Tested using X-Plane 12, works just fine.
I did not change any of the settings of the calibration but the new joystick behaves very different and I am having trouble flying any of the airplanes. ( I am an experienced real life pilot and ex flight test engineer)
In previous issues of x-Plane on the calibration page there was a stability option which has disappeared. Now there ia a 'control sensitivity' option which is not the same thing. I have moved the sliders to the extreme settings but there does not appear to be a lot of difference.
Same here with Monterey 12.1 and mx vertical mouse under bluetooth, with scroller click mapped to mission control. It just works randomly, maybe can do well for 10 clicks in a row and then stops suddenly. also tried to update Logitech firmware but the Logi's tool can't find the mouse, even if its plugged in or with the receiver...
Same here. MBPro 14" 2021 M1Max OS12.2. Three finger salute; ^up, nothing works except restart of computer. It will work for a few hours, then stop. I also have the trackpad tap not working most of the time. Control and Shift tap takes at least three taps to stick. Control/C, Control/V, Control/Any key won't work unless C, V, Any key is pressed at least three times.
I have an mx keys and I found an alternative that is working fine. In the logi option app I changed the f3/mission control key, by keystroke assiignment and assign the ctl + up.Hope to help users of logitech mx keys and the like
Fixed rebooting or forcing Quit Dock (lonly process) in Activity Monitor then showing Dock and also two Dock Extra processes. Once fixed, it does not arise again until after the next boot (arises about 50% of the times).
hi allI managed to get it working (stable for a whole day! :) by adding the logioptions app in startup and always keeping it minimsed. I've also rempad the keys to mimic the keystroke and not the native logi options way...
