Apple will work closely with leading payment platforms and app developers across the payments and commerce industry to offer Tap to Pay on iPhone to millions of merchants in the US. Tap to Pay on iPhone complements and enhances the robust suite of payment and commerce tools that payment platforms and app developers provide to their merchant customers to help them run and grow their businesses. Tap to Pay on iPhone will work with contactless credit and debit cards from leading payment networks, including American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. There is not currently a way to block specific merchants on your iPhone however if you are being charged for a subscription that is billed through Apple, you can cancel the subscription to keep from being charged again. Your bank may be able to help with stopping payments from the merchant, you would need to reach out to them directly.

At checkout, the merchant will simply prompt the customer to hold their iPhone or Apple Watch to pay with Apple Pay, their contactless credit or debit card, or other digital wallet near the merchant's iPhone, and the payment will be securely completed using NFC technology. Tap to Pay on iPhone uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep the data of merchants and their customers private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple doesn't store card numbers on the device or on Apple servers.

Apple originally announced in February 2022 that it was planning to allow US merchants to accept contactless payments on their iPhone, launched the service in the USA in July 2022 and rolled it out Taiwan in April this year.

Apple has announced the launch of Tap to Pay in the US, a new capability that will enable millions of merchants and vendors in the North American market to use their iPhones to accept Apple Pay and contactless credit and debit cards from leading payment networks, including American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa.

J.P. Morgan Payments has launched Tap to Pay on iPhone for its merchant clients in the US. The solution allows merchants to accept contactless payments using their iPhones, without the need for a dedicated payment card reader or additional hardware.

Fill out the form with a description and identifier. Your description is for your own records and you can modify it in the future. Stripe recommends using the name of your app as the identifier (for example, merchant.com.YOUR_APP_NAME).

Add the Apple Pay capability to your app. In Xcode, open your project settings, click the Signing & Capabilities tab, and add the Apple Pay capability. You might be prompted to log in to your developer account at this point. Select the merchant ID you created earlier, and your app is ready to accept Apple Pay.

Tap to Pay on iPhone is supported on iPhones XS and later, and runs on iOS 16.4 or later. In addition to a supported iPhone, merchants need an Apple ID account to activate Tap to Pay on iPhone for their business.As for the Payment app, merchants need Payment app version 10.0 or later. iPads are not supported at this time.

With Tap to Pay on iPhone and the Revolut iOS app, designed for customers with a Pro account, such as sole proprietors or small business owners, or the Revolut Business iOS app for business of all sizes, Revolut customers will now be able to accept in-person, contactless payments with just an iPhone - no need for additional terminals or hardware. The feature provides an easy way for merchants to accept payments from physical debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and other digital wallets that enable contactless transactions.

Businesses of any size will be able to use the system, including solo merchants you meet at the farmer's market and large retail chains. Though there is no concrete timeline, there are plans to implement Tap to Pay for iPhone nationwide for retailers throughout the year.

Takis Georgakopoulos, Global Head of Payments, J.P. Morgan says J.P. Morgan Payments will be expanding Tap to Pay on iPhone to U.S. merchants over the next year, which will include small-and-medium-sized business merchants.
