I am losing my mind right now i cant watch any 4k netflix content on my Aero 15 oled it has a i9 10980hk and a 2070 super when trying to watch netflix it always uses the f*** uhd graphics and i cant get it to use the 2070 super no matter what i do on games like destiny 2 i have the options in the nivida contol panel to change between them but on netflix i dont even have the option even setting it global i still can see that it uses the stupid uhd graphics and they seem to be so shit that 4k hdr content laggs like idk what does anyone else has that Problem is there a way or tool that could force it to encode on my real gpu not on the shitty intel one >_>
It has the same * weak af * hd630 then your laptop as igpu the system was setup fresh 2 weeks ago the drivers are up to date and for the last time i am asking for a way to force my real gpu to encode the videos since the 2017 piss intel gpu cant handel it its running perfekt at 1440p but as soon as i go up to 4k HDR it starts to struggle hell even my 2080 super destop system has a few small laggs from time to time playing back real 4k hdr so i dont think your 630 runs that without a Problem
The issue here is is that this is basically microsoft and intel FORCING netflix to use the igpu and you are simply not given an option here. The best you can do is run it in a browser and force the browser to use the gpu and hope for the best.
In the End it seems to be a windows 10 Hdr Problem no matter what i do i cant get any hdr content above 720p to run stable found some dude with a alienware and the same 4k oled panel having the same Problem isnt it fun if u have a 2.5k Laptop and u cant even watch Hdr netflix that my 4 year old tv has no Problem with while beeing passiv cooled :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Netflix is one of the most popular streaming platforms in the world. Millions of people watch a variety of content on Netflix on many different devices, such as smartphones, TVs, laptops, PCs, and tablets. The accessibility of Netflix is a major factor in why it has become so popular, as it allows users to watch their favorite films and shows at any time.
However, there are many instances in which you might not be getting the full immersive watching experience on your mobile phone. In such a situation, you will want to cast Netflix from your phone to the bigger screen of your laptop.
Using Chromecast to cast Netflix from your Android or iOS phone to your laptop is a reliable method of enjoying Netflix on your laptop. Chromecast is available for mobile phones with Android 4.4 or higher and iPhone 6 and higher.
Nevertheless, there are certain issues associated with Chromecast, such as limited compatibility for all smartphones and frequent disconnection issues if the internet is not stable that will adversely affect the streaming experience. In such a situation, it becomes important to use some other reliable method of casting Netflix from phone to laptop.
Another method of mirroring Netflix from a phone to a laptop is through the Netflix Mobile Plan. Compared to the other methods, it is a complicated and technical process to cast Netflix from a phone to a laptop.
Other than casting Netflix from your smartphone to your laptop, it is possible that you cast Netflix on an even bigger screen of your TV with third-party software like AirDroid Cast Web. However, it's important to note that certain Netflix content may be copy-protected and may not be available for casting or downloading. Therefore, it's important to ensure that the Netflix content can be cast before proceeding.
There are clearly multiple ways of casting Netflix from your Android or iPhone device to your laptop. If you follow the detailed steps discussed above, you should have no issue in successfully casting Netflix on your laptop. You can try these different methods to choose the one that suits you.
However, the Shift Project underestimates the energy consumption of devices by around 4-fold, because it assumes that viewing occurs only on smartphones (50%) and laptops (50%). According to Netflix, however, 70% of viewing occurs on TVs, which are much more energy-intensive than laptops (15% of viewing), tablets (10%), and smartphones (5%).

FWIW!! Last evening I too experienced extremely HIGH CPU temps on a laptop being used outside on the patio. In a covered area of course and well ventilated. I also experienced significant drops in bandwidth while viewing and listening to music videos. I was well within the physical reach of my router at the time. WiFi appears to have been the issue even with QOS ( Quality of Service ) set for that devices and giving it bandwidth priority. The CPU on that device is a hyperthreaded quad-core, 4 physical cores- 8 threads hyperthreaded, system memory is 32 GB DDR-4 2600, more info on that is here. My issue was with YouTube itself vice being hardware / resources. In your case the opposite seems to be the main issue. Update those drivers and restart the system. Re-check and see whether you have any performance changes that are positive.

When you want to do something that is not standard business operations, it is always good to ask first. Depending on how your work laptops are configured, streaming could be an issue. More specifically, _everyone_ streaming could be an issue, but IT might be fine with allowing an exception for you while traveling. That might even do something as simple as suggesting giving you a different device configured differently to take with you while traveling. (For example, if all the laptops are on a shared VPN that would be impacted by streaming, they might provide you with a cheaper off-VPN wifi-only iPad that you could use for streaming but would not be allowed on the business network.)
