Philip,
Let's see what the weather does, I've scheduled a paddleboaring event on the lake Sat - probably about 11-4:00, but if it is good wind for sailing we will probably cancel the other event.  Sunday is wide open for me at this point.

I'm copying the other Lido Sailors in the area, to see if others may want to join us and which day might be best.

Vasa park's ramp is closed, so you'd probably launch at the State Park.  It's about 4 miles south of my dock,I could motor boat down there to give you the sails, or perhaps better, you could stop by my house (by car before you launch), get the sails, and we can assess the wind.  I can then sail toward the park as you are launching, and meet half way.

The Park charges $17 to launch unless you have the state parks pass.

They are calling for Rain Saturday and a chance of rain Sunday - no wind forecast yet.  Sounds like Sunday might be better, but lets see how it shapes up.

In for a penny, in for a pound. An inaugural sail on Lake Sammamish
sounds great!
This weekend? Pretty much anytime for me.
Check your favorite forecaster, and sound the other Lidos.

Philip,
Give me a call (425) 449-0070 to discuss the weather and whether a sail or just a sail sale today makes sense (sorry too cute on the wording) .

Hourly forcast calls for Thunderstorms and winds of 11-18 (Probably more than you want in your lido for an inaugural sail) - especially if single handed.

My 2 favorite weather forecast sites here:
Hourly by the weather channel
National Weather Service
Actual readings from a bouy on the lake are here:

Right now it's dry and the lake is glassy, and I hate to call something off based on a forecast that doesn't happen.  But being committed to rigging the boat then a 4 mile sail from the launch ramp to my dock, or even half the distance if we meet in the middle might not be good idea.  So give me a call, you can always come over to get the sails, and if the weather is ok we can take out my boat.
So call me!
