Last call for LSYC 4th of July BBQ

One last email blast to encourage everyone to come join us.  We will set up at 1402 W. Lake Sammamish - 2 docks south of Weowna Point.  I'll put up the LSYC banner to make it clear where we are.  We will bring a grill, ice, and a table for sharing potluck.  Since we can't predict attendance - it is bring your own everything.   We hope the weather cooperates (as it did yesterday) 67F and partly Sunny is forecast we will have float tubes and all manner of little swim boats for kids and adults, so swimsuits encouraged.  We will get started around 2 PM, boat down to the fireworks around 9 PM & raft up, then come back to launch our pretty extensive 4th of July arsenal - so it will probably go pretty late.  Dana is bringing a DJ sound system to add a little music to the scene.  I'll be out front in my speed boat driving kids in tubes some of the time (so I may not be on shore when you tie up).  This is typically our biggest event of the season, but I see a lot of folks can't make it this year.  Hope you can join us or at least stop by.  Fly your burgees if you've got em!

There is no "boom bash" this year at the Abernathy's so it's up to us to hold up the 4th of July Lake Party tradtion.  This is only worth doing if we have sufficient interest - and it's expressed early (not the day before).  I didn't get much response to my earlier LSYC email - so if you think you can come or might come let me know early.

 

We would do this as a "Fire and Ice" potluck.  I'd provide a grill & ice, you bring the food & beverages (as we have no idea how many people would be comming).  Bring a dish to share and we can do potluck.  If there is sufficient response perhaps someone will bring some music.  We have some space for tie-ups but if there is a good turn-out we may also have boats anchor, raft-up off-shore, and ferry in, so if you come bring lots of bumpers, ropes & tubes - sailboats should get priortity on dock space as they are more difficult to anchor.  Should be plenty of beach space as well.
