Hi there!

I'm pretty new to Lidgren, and now I'm in need of your help!

I've written a server and a client program, which worked great when
testing on only my computer.

Client 1 (My computer) -> Server (My computer) -> Client 2 (My
computer)

The problem is when I'm trying to connect another computer, like my
laptop beside me. It won't connect at all.

Client (Laptop) -> Server (My computer) won't work...

I've tried catch everything, but none of them, client or server, won't
show anthing. No response or anything, my debug windows doesn't show
anything.

Any suggestions?

Regards
The Hult

Try to allow the traffic over firewalls.

If not, make ping from one PC to another to see if data can go from A to B.

If your PC A and PC B are in different networks, you need to configure the router to allow traffic between them.

Hopes it help.

Well, I tried what you said and pinged my server computer, and that
worked without a problem. I don't think there is a problem with my
firewall, since I've ran a lot of other servers through it. But thank
you anyways =D

Anyone have anything else I could try?

Regards

Are you using gen3 of the library? This is the gen2 discussion
group...

Other than that your problem is most likely related to NAT and/or
firewalling.

Is this the gen2? I'm very sorry then, didn't realize that... =S

Well, it is now confirmed that it's working over the internet, but not on lan... my guess is that my laptop is too slow to connect before I start sending the messages I'm looking for.

Well, thanks anyway!
