I went last year and it was very good.  Lots of stalls selling equipment and services of all sorts - Lidar scanners, Ground Pentetrating Radar, industrial-strength drones, remote-controlled boats, very accurate GPS etc.  Services included the UK Ordnance Survey, the Land Registry and organisations offering surveys of all sorts.

One advantage of these affairs is that you can just walk up to a stall and ask "how much is it?".  Quite often the answer is "a hundred thousand Pounds sir", but some of the stuff was actually affordable - I found one firm offering a GPR device for hire at £500 per week.

Some of the drones were really lovely, and really, really expensive.

I plan to go up on the 21st.
