North Aurora Planning Study Update, Surveys, and Upcoming Events

Hi neighbors,

Here are some updates, opportunities to make your voice heard, and upcoming events in/around Licton Springs! 

A budget update:

THANK YOU to everyone who signed the petition or in any other way supported funding in the city's budget to continue the North Aurora Community Planning study. The budget includes funding for 2.5 full time employees at the Office of Planning and Community Development, which means the study will continue! This is huge for our neighborhood, with a lot of development on and around Aurora on the horizon. Surveys & Opportunities for Input:

• Seattle Pacific University's annual Public Safety Survey will be open until November 30. This survey collects feedback from residents across Seattle about what their public safety concerns are where they live. Access the survey here.
• The City of Seattle is conducting a survey to get feedback on project ideas for the Northgate Regional Center. The resulting Northgate Regional Center Plan will be a 20-year vision for Northgate. Your feedback is important as whatever happens at Northgate will significantly affect our neighborhood as well. Access the survey here.
• Opportunities to comment: The City of Seattle released its One Seattle Plan earlier this fall. This plan will help determine how the city will grow and develop over the next 20 years, at least. There are some proposed changes to zoning in our neighborhood. You can comment on the proposed changes on an interactive map found here. and there are also still opportunities to learn more and to provide feedback both in person and virtually.
