Two great upcoming events and a budget survey!

Hi neighbors,

There are two wonderful events coming up next week - we hope you can make it to one or both! Additionally, Councilmember Cathy Moore is looking for input on budget priorities; see more below.

Thursday, October 31 - 4:30pm-6pm: Licton Springs Halloween Walk at Licton Springs Park. LSCC is thrilled to again host the Halloween Park Walk! Families can walk around the "forest" and collect candy from volunteers! This event is a great addition or alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. We will also have warm cider and music near the playground. This event is generously sponsored by Mac's Flooring, Pilgrim Coffeehouse, Salt Blade, and neighbors just like you. Flyer attached!

Friday, November 1 - 5:00pm-9:00pm: Dia de los Muertos Celebration at Evergreen Washelli Tribute Center. This is the second annual Dia de los Muertos celebration hosted by Evergreen Washelli and looks to be another wonderful event with music, dancing, food, and kid-friendly activities - bring the whole family! Councilmember Moore's Budget Survey: Click here to share your thoughts on what Seattle City Council should be prioritizing as they make decisions on the city budget. They will vote to adopt a budget about a month from now, but don't delay on providing your input.

A quick follow-up on the email below regarding Halloween in Licton Springs Park!

Looking to recruit Friends of the Forest for Licton Springs Halloween: Do you or anyone you know like to dress up and give out treats? (The treats are provided.) Are your kids older and you miss seeing the young ones dressed up? Groups are welcome. You must be at least 14 years old to be a Friend; parents with children welcome. Please contact Melanie Davies at 206-227-9155 if you can volunteer. The time commitment is from 4:15 to 6 pm.
