Subject: SPEAK UP: Pack Council Chambers for Seattle’s Transportation Levy
To: <in...@seattlegreenways.org>

A large group of people holding banners and signs at the Earth Day rally Housing and Transportation for Our Future on April 20.

Thank you for sending an email to Mayor Harrell in support of a Transportation Levy that will get us where we need to go!

Here's what comes next.

The transportation levy proposal is now headed to City Council for review, amendments, and finalization of the levy which will fund our transportation projects for the next 8 years.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!

  1. Speak up on Tuesday, May 7, at 10:30 am at City Hall. We will pack Council chambers to demand an improved levy that will get us to our safety, equity, and climate goals. We need people in-person to give public comment or to stand holding signs and showing support. You can also sign up to speak virtually. RSVP to Cl...@SeattleGreenways.org.
  2. Send the city council a written public comment at cou...@seattle.gov.

See here for talking points, public comment how-to, and our full list of demands

Alt Text: Three images of people holding signs that read “Safe Streets for the South End”, “I <3 sidewalks, bike lanes, & bus lanes!” and “Don’t Defund Transit.”

Thank you for your advocacy!!

Be Well,
Clara

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning at 10:30 am at Seattle City Hall! I'll have a bunch of signs available for folks to hold if you'd like one.

If you're not able to join us in person, you can call in virtually or send a note to cou...@seattle.gov letting them know that you support a larger levy to increase investments in sidewalks and safe streets.

Be well,
Clara
