SDOT and Metro have launched their joint planning study for the future of Aurora (including its E-Line)
Project Overview •Long-range planning study to define future vision and cross sections for 7.6-mile Aurora corridor •Main focus of project is pedestrian and bicycle access safety upgrades and transit improvements

ARC's next meeting, Monday July 11 will feature presentations from SDOT about the study - stay tuned for further information

ARC and NW Greenways groups recently held a bike ride-audit of the pedestrian and bike access to the planned Light Rail 130th St. Station
The station has been delayed for a year, which gives more opportunity for something to be done about its horrible access.

In early 2021, SDOT released a study on how station access could be improved for people accessing it from all directions, ranking the projects that would do the most to improve access. Now, the department is seeking a federal grant through the Puget Sound Regional Council to construct a slate of projects that it says would start construction in 2025, completing not far from the 2026 opening ...
