Hi Jonathan
Thanks for your post. Yes, I am aware of this problem and, actually, saving is just one of several Excel operations which are not compatible with All Structure Display being toggled on (see Help file for details [under Structure Display]). Most of these issues arise because, when displaying structures, Excel remains under programmatic control (so that the display program can render structures for only the visisble cells). Control is returned to Excel every cycle but it is quite possible for the user to do something which changes the Excel environment in a way the program doesn't expect and can't recover from. In the case of saving a file with structures displayed the issue is simpler - the workbook is saved in an intermediate state which isn't currently 'understood' on reopening. My recommendation is, therefore, to toggle stucture diplay on only when you want to scroll through the worksheet and view structures (and to turn it off when you want to do any significant work in Excel like inserting columns, filtering, etc). The fact that structure toggling is so quick makes this limitation easier to bear!
I should probably make the Help file more explicit about the saving issue. I might also be able to fix it so that Structure display is automatically toggled off when saving - I will have a look
Best wishes
Kevin.
