Hi All

Downloaded and installed v2.2 as per instructions, including changing the trust settings in excel.

Opened my spreadsheet that had the smiles column; selected the column, typed CRTL SHIFT M.

Hovering didn't reveal a smiles structure; nor did selecting a cell and typing CTRL R.  Intstead I got a bug report "Run time error '5' invalid procedure call or argument"

Pressing debug took me to ...

"mySDs.Item(1).DisplayRowStructure (smName)" which was highlighted yellow with a yellow thick arrow beside it.

Any suggestions as to a remedy?

Darren.

Hi Darren

Not quite sure what is going on here.  Hovering over a cell isn't supposed to give the structure (this works only for chart data points)  but selecting a cell in the Smiles column is.  Could you try out the demonstration file for LICSS-2.2 which I have added to the demonstration zip: http://code.google.com/p/excel-cdk/downloads/detail?name=LICSS-DemonstrationFiles.zip&can=2&q=#makechanges? (or available from the featured downloads on the project home page)?  If you open this file and select a cell in the Smiles column then you should get a window with the structure in it (first one takes a few secs).  If you get a VBA error again could you please run the LICSS 2.2 full installer http://code.google.com/p/excel-cdk/downloads/detail?name=LICSS-2.2-FullInstaller.exe again (with Excel closed) then try opening the demo file again?  If still no joy then if you can email me the file you enabled (to kevin....@syngenta.com) I will take a look at it...

Best wishes

Kevin

Hi Kevin

It looks as though I don't have a CDK files folder.

Will play around a bit more and get back to you.

Hi Kevin

After playing, I found that the CDK files could be auto-downloaded from the internet.  I did this with a couple of your demonstration files.  They worked like a charm.
But my file is still not working.

Looking at and thinking about a disparity in formats, etc ...

Will report back if I make any sensible progress.

Darren.

Hi Kevin

Even more playing ... when I paste my smiles strings into your demo- spreadsheets everything works.  I'm tempted to save your demostration spreadsheets under my file name and replace your data with mine but I would rather get to the bottom of what went wrong on the first pass.

Really useful application btw, thanks

Darren.

Sigh ... it didn't work 'cos I didn't implement it properly.

Now it is working.  Really useful, thanks.

Darren.
