Hello,
Looks like a very interesting tool. I have installed LICSS2.2 but seem
to be experiencing some issues. The program installed correctly, I
opened the EnableChemicalSpreadsheetV2.2.xls, clicked to accept the
default setting, then tried to set up a spreadsheet I had created.

I get an error stating " Runtime error '1004': Programmatic access to
Visual Basic Project not trusted.

Also, I dont have a networked directory... I just accepted the default
"N:\ChemistryPrograms\LICSS-2.2". I dont have an "N" directory.

When I remove this value I get a different error: Run-time error '53':
File not found/

I installed the software of Windows 7, 64 bit and I am using Excel
2007.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Paul

Thanks for trying LICSS. The error you are getting is just due to the
way you have Excel set up. In Excel, select the Office button (top
left), then Excel Options - Trust Center - Trust Center Settings -
Macro Settings. Under Macro Settings, check the box for 'Enable All
Macros' and under Developer Macro Settings, check the box for 'Trust
access to the VBA project model'. This will allow LICSS to copy the
necessary code to your workbook. All should then operate correctly.

The network directory needs to be set but it doesn't matter if you
don't have one! So, accept the default and all should be OK.

Please let me know if this solves your problems.

Best wishes

Kevin

Dear Kevin,
Thanks for the information, that sorted out the problem.

It might be good to state somewhere in the installation material that one needs to change the default Excel security settings to get it to work.

Many thanks,

Paul

Good!

Thought I had done actually but, when I looked yesterday, I couldn't find it so I will make sure it's both in the help/website and, if possible, in the error message one gets if one tries with the wrong settings.

Many thanks,

Paul

Thank you, Kevin
