I've got the Square Point of Sale (this beautiful stand unit and the mag reader) and I've signed up for Squarespace thinking, okay, these can either be stand alone or you can use them both. We're setting up our fish & chips place to accept online orders for takeout, spacing people out to come get it, the usual. It appears the squarespace site can reasonably do this, accept prepayments, etc. It also appears the whole this is not really set up as a restaurant management system with tickets to the kitchen and the like. But I'll figure all that out later.
I'm running into the same issue - Squarespace seemed to advertise that they can sync inventory but this doesn't seem to actually be the case. I've got an issue where my inventory is in Squarespace and I need to offer employees a way to use the POS app. There isn't a way in squarespace to give permission just to use the POS app (and I don't even know what admin permission I'd give them to do it) - and if they use the Square app instead it wont keep track of our inventory.
Ok I've been looking into this some - and it looks there are some services you can pay (like $19/mo) to synch your square and squarespace inventory. But they both have public API's (assuming you are on the advanced commerce plan here) so I'm pretty sure my company will just make a custom inventory synchronizer.
Square is great for POS, and Squarespace is great for Websites, but sadly there isn't a robust way to combine them. Personally I wouldn't recommend trying a custom integration (other than stock level synchronisation like Trunk) due to the level of maintenance that would be required to respond to API changes. I appreciate this isn't the positive response that you wanted, but I hope another perspective is helpful.
Jodi got the seared tuna Nicoise salad that was superb. First of all, the presentation was beautiful, looking like a deconstructed Nicoise in a way, although the french beans, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes were housed in the salad shaped like a nest. Then, the tuna was delicious, perfectly seared. I definitely recommend this dish.

There are lots of solutions here but if one rereads the OP, the main question is why there is no centrepoint to a square/rectangle like there is with a circle. I seem to remember that there used not to be one for circles either but it was added a few years ago (and very necessary it was too!).
US Esquire wrote a nice piece about this trend back in 2015, using Google search data. Back then they could see some men being turned off by them, saying the pocket square had become too ubiquitous. But they also noted that they had never been more popular in cheaper, mainstream shops.
I switched from purely decorative pocket squares to solid colored microfiber cleaning cloths a few years ago. The reasoning was that If I carry one for my glasses anyway, I might put it somewhere in reach. Are they as decorative as silk or cotton? No. Are they functional? Hell yeah.
Also, on fashion cycles, if anything I feel like conservative clothing may be in for a comeback. Somehow, I feel that wearing 700 balenciaga trainers will be frowned upon when we get out of lockdown and are in recession. Much better stick to the collared shirt and blazer. This is to some extent based on evidence from aftermaths of previous recessions and the fact that conservative professions such as doctors (understandably) and politicians (perhaps more surprisingly) are experiencing high levels of trust, at least according to YouGov.
On this topic, I comment I have is that while the trend has definitely fallen away, I would argue that menswear enthusiasts living in warm climates would still use pocket squares to add a little colour and flair where a tie would be too hot to wear consistently.
First, you only need them bespoke to the extent that you will treat them and wear them as smartly as you would bespoke trousers. Which I think is rare for most people. And if you find you really need bespoke to get a good fit in trousers in the seat, hips and waist. I think you need both those things to justify it.
I quarantine bought my first pocket squares last week. I never had any interest in them before now; but it looks like everybody is wearing them in the style websites. So am I adopting a dying fashion trend? Or am I the vanguard of the return?
I think menswear has been moving towards a more conservative palette in the past few years along with the move towards ever more casual tailored clothing. So it is not surprising that the pocket square has declined in popularity. However, for enthusiasts I would think that it would remain a regular item especially with the tie becoming less prominent. To me, there is very little room in a typical wardrobe where men can wear color and pattern.
But then if you feel the need to do things to compensate for the lack of a pocket square, maybe you should just wear a pocket square.
I do not think I am going to give them up. I like them and that is enough. If the mainstream wears them less it makes no difference to whoever wears them out of individuality.
I also think wearing them is a sign of sophistication, since it is more difficult to add them to good effect (lots of examples here on how they can be worn wrong) than to forego them. And I believe the walk through life should head to sophistication.
If anything, less people wearing them just means an increased challenge to wearing them well. Not a challenge I mean to miss.
I always wear a tie by choice. So that said, when I wear a suit I use a clean crisp tv fold white pocket square to break up the form. With a odd jacket, pants of a different color, and tie of a third color, I find any pocket square to be too much. Often an overload of too many colors and patterns and just feels off to my eye. I can see a square being an acceptable tie replacement though.
Simon, I certainly understand why you said you would still continue to wear a pocket square with a proper suit and tie, but do you feel like the recommendation of using a pen works with a smart suit, or just our jackets?

I think your decision should be Chessnut Air vs Chessup. From all my research these are the two best e-boards and trust me nobody in this forum has done more research on e-boards than me. I spent months researching before I bought the Chessnut Air. I compared all of them before making my decision.
I would recommend the Chessnut Air over the Chessup for the simple fact that the higher price of the Chessup is not justified if you won't use the AI assist stuff. If all you're doing is playing online then you will never use that stuff. Playing against the computer gets boring quick. The fun is in playing against other people online.
The Chessnut Air is also better looking in my opinion and it has real piece recognition (it actually knows if a king is a king so it actually knows the individual pieces and what they are etc while Chessup doesn't from what I remember).
I have played hundreds of games on the Chessnut Air and i wouldn't trade it for any e-board out there.
