Hi,

I prefer some of the built-in editors for some file types - XML, Markdown so it would be useful for me if I could ask Liclipse to defer to the default editors.

I have no idea how to do that though. I visited General → Editors → Files Associations and General → Content Types but I did not see where I can change the associations.

Thanks,

Robert

That should be set in preferences > General > Editors > File Associations (choose the file type -- i.e.: *.xml and then select with which editor it should be opened).

Best Regards,

Fabio

Ah, right.

I was confused that all entries mentioned "(locked by .... content
type)". But selecting an associated editor and clicking default
worked.

Thanks,

Robert
