Dear Fred, Here is a new travel grant opportunity: Northwest Lichenologists Travel Grant Application for the 10th Congress of the International Association for Lichenology (IAL10, July 26-31, 2026)   To encourage broad engagement with lichenology research by students, postdocs, and early career researchers in the Pacific Northwest, Northwest Lichenologists (NWL) is offering up to $1500.00 USD in funding to help offset the costs of travel and attendance to the upcoming 10th Congress of the International Association of Lichenologists (IAL10) meeting in Trieste, Italy, July 26-30, 2026. One grant totaling $1500 or two $750 grants will be awarded to eligible applicants.  Eligibility You must live and be conducting research in the Pacific Northwest of North America, including Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, northern California, Oregon, Washington, and western Alberta. Applicants must be registered for the IAL10 meeting. Applicants must present a poster or give a talk at IAL10. The IAL meetings happen every 4 years. They are an amazing experience with full-time saturation with lichenologists, lichen topics, field trips, etc. Even if you aren't eligible for the award you should consider attending!
