Spring Lichens Walk! 3/21 at Lake Padden

Hi everyone,

To welcome in the Spring, Fred and I would like to host a walk on Saturday, March 21 at 10:30am. We will look at lichens (and anything else we find that strikes our interest), talk about lichens, answer questions, and generally have a nice spring romp in the woods together!

We will meet at the Galbraith Mountain and Padden Trails Parking Lot off of Samish Way at 10:30am - https://maps.app.goo.gl/xPEnr5CbKskfjrPX6

. After a brief intro circle we will meander down the trail into Lake Padden park and see what we see. We will be done by noon. 

Bring a loupe or other handheld magnifying device, a knife and small containers or bags if you plan to collect any samples, water and snacks, and dress for the weather! 

Please RSVP to this email if you plan on attending so we have a rough idea of how many people to expect. 

We will have a lab session at WWU in the week or two after this walk- stay tuned for details on that.
